Originally designed by George W. Cobb, Quail Hollow has undergone several renovations since opening in 1961, the most recent of which occurred just following the 2016 Wells Fargo and saw holes 1, 2, 5, and 11 changed under the hand of Tom Fazio in preparation for its major championship debut.
